"Charity work should not be needed today, people should look after themselves"

Nowadays, we can find different charity works that help the ones who need it the most, but are they really necessary? Should everyone be selfish and look after themselves or should we take care of each other?

First of all, there are a lot of people who live in the street and do not have enough money to pay the essential things we need to survive such as food or a roof to live under and feel safe. They need our help to get through the misery they are living, they need a reason to not give up.

Secondly, I think that our government is wasting money thoughtlessly. They should be paying more attention and having more interest in all the poor families that are living out there who can’t get over a day without our help.

Also, there are a lot of people that are laid off and because of it, they aren’t able to maintain their family, forcing them to live in the worst conditions we can ever imagine.

In conclusion, I think that charity work is needed nowadays and should never stop because thanks to them there are people who can survive and live the life they deserve.
